I'll do a proper picspam post once home this weekend; at this moment I'm just procrastinating on things I should be writing. ;D
In other news, I now have some beads for a Land Of Little Cubes And Tea (aka LOLCAT) necklace. Heehee! <3

Hooray! Had a nice brunch this morning with sakon76 and her hubby at the Luxor buffet, admiring the columns and briefly discussing Homestuck.
Thence we set off to the Dam of Hoover, and there we did travel in many tunnels and in elevators of alarming swiftness and even more alarming bounciness; and there we did also geek about taking many photos and the Holy Figurine of Optimus Prime was brought forth, and participated in several aforementioned photos. Also the 2000 Bug. I bought a couple of magnets and a postcard at the shop - one of the magnets is a v G1-ish painting of the dam complete with Megatron's Rainbow of Conquest. I LOLed.
There is not, btw, anyone buried in the massive concrete of the dam. Each pour was only about six inches deep or something, and anyway a decomposing body would leave a void in the concrete and that wold be Bad. 96 people officially died on the worksite, though, during construction.
The dam was designed to last 1500 years. Which makes me wonder...what happens 1423 years from now? ;D
We set off to walk about halfway across the new bridge, and take more photos. Hot and tired, we drove back to the Strip and found a fun burger joint - KGB Burgers - for dinner. A certain amount of giggling was done at the expense of the football game on the TV screens there. It is also possible that disparaging remarks were aimed at the series Revolution, which I have only seen part of the pilot of. XD Fics were discussed. We dropped a few dollars into some slots on the way back to the car. A good time was had, I think, by all. o^________________________^o
