tainrySo about a week-ish after my last post...end of January, ack...I got a box from kalloway!!! Full of many wonders!!!
A familiar card - :DDD The gathering of things through the year, Giftmas in January as per SOP...
A whole set of mini pens!! OMG I needed these! I like to keep a pen in my jeans pocket when going out; I know I can make notes on my phone now, but I can still write faster than I can type on that bitty screen, and also mark which takeout styrofoam box is mine... Or draw things on napkins. IDK. Anyway, I love mini pens, yo. <3
Iridescent beads, about size 6, or bigger maybe - excellent~! Iridescence is my jam!

More big seed beads, in a coppery lilac color that will go perfectly with a long-gathering project! \o/
Polar Ice - Grow Your Own Ice Cubes! With a wee polar bear figure! Eeeheehee! Well I'll have more ice than the actual North Pole by summer... XD Polar bear can hang out with Hound and Beachcomber. <3
Two squeeze-packages of turquoise and celadon assorted beads! These are v handy for random stuff I don't happen to have a whole strand of, and they're color-sorted so yay! <333

Glow bracelets aka Energon Chains! I think Hot Shot is still in his last set. He seems comfortable...
TF napkins! Like ya do! OK, so we keep a small stack of napkins in one of those 60s plastic holders for sudden spills and whatever in the kitchen, and Tang, Destroyer of TP, only chews up the white napkins. I don't know, ok? His mother was a cat, that's all I got. So colored napkins are Safe. Thank you. <3
Two packages of TF battle cards! Lessee, a foil BBB card, seven battle cards...two with Overlord on them those get BURIED somewhere eek. But there's a good Chromia and an Arcee and Jazz playing ...some kind of base/cello/idk so yaaay! <3333 Megatron foil card, holo Decepticon I don't recognize? One of the Stuntis??? idk... XDDDDDD Aaaaand "Pop-O-Gold" a rare 'winners circle' golden box of popcorn! XDDDD These are crazy and hilarious and where is the fic about them????
Two blind bag minifigs: Hot Rod! Smirking from the underside of his vehicle mode because of course he is. XD And Starscream! Wow! Two actual popular characters!!! That almost never happens! <333333

In Plague News: I am still working, so the weird has not hit me as it has many others. I also live with two other humans and four cats, so my limits in solitude have not yet been tested. To my fellow introverts: "\o^_______________^o/ <3" To the extroverts out there: "I am so sorry. How are you doing? Please engage in self care." Thank Primus for the internet.
Sewed 8 scrub caps for work today - we're doing curbside services now and need to spare the disposable caps for actual surgery. I used the simplest pattern I could find and they're a little wonky, but boss is going to buy fabric and stuff and I'll bring the pattern specs for other patterns I printed out, see what people want, maybe take Actual Measurements? What crazy is this? So we might have our own little sweatshop upstairs for sewing the things that can be reused. We have enough gowns I think - I mean those are standard cloth that we wash and autoclave, so we already had those. Probably the curbside staff can use cotton 2-layer masks, though, so again to save the disposable actual surgical masks for surgery and dentals. We'll see how things go. I have several packs of bias tape for ties if we need that. Why do I have bias tape? I do not know. I have never used it. o.O
Speaking of sewing stuff - the sunroom/sewing room is almost finished! Just a few more stacks of things to sort and get put away! Wooo! And I got to do the first sewing in the space earlier as I made the curtain for my new fabric stash bookcase! It is a sun room, there is a lot of sun, even though our back yard is p shady, everything exposed in there has faded. So. Curtain for my fabric, yarn, trims and patterns. I have all my elastic in a box, and some millinery/belly dance spanglies in another box. Still need to deal with a dismayingly huge collection of buttons, and fill a nice apothecary jar that used to be in my bathroom with extra thread or something... Last niggling bits of this and that, as usual. ;D Am trying to keep that room from becoming a storage dead end again...even if I have to toss all my school artwork in the recycling myself! ...I literally don't know where I'd put that portfolio in my room. o.o;;;;; ..........Unless...hmm. I should measure under the printer table.

The bits I saw looked pretty awesome :D I've been debating pulling out ye old sewing machine and seeing what I still remember how to do, but with two raccoons in the house now I just don't think adding needles and thread to the mix is a good idea. I might be able to set a table up in the basement or something, lol

Introvert heaven! :D Just for the last few days though - park has been a madhouse as we cancel and refund and shut down and make signs and then re-make all the signs and change all the voicemails again as restrictions increase and figure out work from home procedures and try to find stuff to do for all the gate staff which were being sent to the nature centers for awhile (finally convinced 70+ year old multiple health issue one to GO HOME WE LOVE YOU BUT GO HOME). We're in really good shape for now - authorized to work on projects from home for those that can find stuff, or "authorized closure" pay for those like the gate staff who really can't. I have about seven weeks of vacation time, so I've been doing a few hours of work from home, mostly monitoring social media and supervising my other staff working from home, lol. I had been planning to go in two days a week to clean aquariums and animal care/projects, rotating with other staff, but have had a mild sinus thing going on, and now a bit of a sore throat, which *could* be anything, but I've been self-quarantining the last four days just to be safe. Have been mostly giving critters a little extra TLC, moved my confiscation raccoon upstairs (4 year old illegal pet raccoon, threw him in a pen outside because I didn't have time to set up anything else, but poor buddy hid in a crate and didn't come out for about a week, don't know if he'd ever been outside before. Now he's in the living room in a big pen that takes up most of the living room, and he's coming out of his shell finally - we're slowly making friends. Gabby-raccoon hasn't come anywhere near him yet, it is all Very Suspicious.)
Tried out some online grocery delivery - got my first delivery last night, not bad! They were out of stock on carrots for the bunny, but had everything else I needed, dropped off on the porch around 9pm last night. And you can tip the delivery folks online too, and it all goes directly to them, which I thought was nice. Currently watching Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and putzing about online, ahh, this is the life ^_^
